We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at A Wilderness Way Ltd. This exciting opportunity is for someone who is passionate about helping children with challenging behaviour and wants to make a positive difference in their lives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the residential support team on shift, providing guidance and supervision to junior staff members. They will also be involved in supporting current services and may require an element of travel.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have achieved your Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent. Experience in the Residential Children's Services sector or working with children with challenging behaviour is also desirable.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and has confidence in their ability to make a difference to a child's life. We offer a condensed working rota and sleep-ins, shifts start between 8am and 9am, allowing for a good work-life balance.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding children, all roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the residential support team on shift
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff members
  • Support current services and may require an element of travel
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for children
