Job Summary

We are seeking a Director of Resource Strategies to lead our Resource Strategies Department, advancing resource development, non-extractive capital strategies, and financial management as an integrated movement-building strategy. This position will oversee an organizational budget of $30 million and raise $16-18 million annually in combined c3, c4, and capital investment dollars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advance organizing of the philanthropic sector, providing political leadership and connecting issue frameworks to articulate a compelling case for our long-term vision and resource needs.
  • Direct the Resource Strategies Department, providing overall strategic direction, developing multi-year projections, and leading all aspects of the department.
  • Co-direct organizational strategy and sustainability, ensuring operational coherence and strengthening the interdependent relationship between infrastructure and programmatic work.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of direct fundraising experience and 5 years of management experience, with 3 years in a senior management capacity.
  • Deep grounding in the national social justice movement and the national basebuilding sector, with familiarity with key individuals and organizations.
  • Demonstrated record of transformative leadership, with a proven record of developing successful partnerships, training and mentoring colleagues, and embodying a feminist approach and orientation towards leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to write and/or speak a second language, preferably Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
  • Experience as a community organizer and/or being part of a local basebuilding organization.
  • Participation in popular movement mobilizations and/or formations.
Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $115,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience.
