We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance to join our team at Reed Legal. As a key member of our Senior Executive Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization remains compliant with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Executive Team on all legal and compliance matters to ensure the delivery of our company's strategy
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise in relevant aspects of compliance and regulation, including SRA and ICO matters, LASPO, UK GDPR, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with the CLO, Director of Compliance, Director of M&A, and other key team members on legal and compliance aspects of M&A transactions
  • Provide cross-functional support, particularly to the Legal Transformation and Strategy Team and Operations Team, on key projects
  • Assist in leading the compliance team, managing and developing team members
  • Draft policies, procedures, and documents to support business compliance with statutory or regulatory obligations and ensure training is provided
  • Liaise with business stakeholders regarding the effects of statutory or regulatory changes and assist in implementing necessary changes
  • Manage risk relationships with professional indemnity insurers and handle formal negligence claims
  • Address day-to-day risk matters across the business, aiming to reduce risk levels and report to the Senior Leadership Team
Requirements
  • Experience in successfully working and leading in a legal Compliance team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive working relationships
  • Strong understanding of customer service excellence
  • Ability to balance compliance with business drivers
  • Experience in coaching and supporting team members
  • Role model for good practice leadership
  • Technologically literate with the ability to use technology to enhance legal services
  • Strong analytical skills
