Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance to join our team at Reed Legal. As a key member of our Senior Executive Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization remains compliant with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our Compliance team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to effectively manage compliance risks.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and laws, including SRA and ICO matters, LASPO, UK GDPR, and other key compliance areas.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our Senior Leadership Team, Director of Compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on compliance matters.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide training to employees on these policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, and report to the Senior Leadership Team on key risk areas.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure that compliance requirements are understood and implemented, and provide guidance on compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a compliance leadership role, with a strong track record of managing compliance risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor or equivalent, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and laws.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technological Literacy: Strong understanding of technology and its application in compliance, with the ability to use technology to enhance compliance services.
