About the Role

We are seeking a Nuclear Logistics Specialist to join our team at the Ministry of Defence. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of nuclear logistics solutions.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, delivering, and managing all logistics aspects of support solutions for future transport and container projects. This includes creating and implementing ILS and Training Plans, as well as reviewing technical documentation and collaborating with other government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Support Solutions as defined by Def Stan 00-600 and the Defence Logistic Framework
  • Create and implement ILS and Training Plans
  • Develop ILS and Training Requirements for future transport and container projects
  • Review and update technical documentation
  • Collaborate with Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) and Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL)
  • Chair the Logistic Support Committee and other ILS and Training Working Groups

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in ILS / Engineering
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of MOD projects through the CADMID cycle
  • Knowledge of Def Stan 00-600 and the Defence Logistic Framework
