We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Care Assistant to join our team at UKCIL Ltd.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of a young woman living in the Blyth area by providing support and promoting her independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement personalized support plans tailored to the individual's needs
  • Participate in various social and leisure activities with the young woman, including craft workshops and cookery classes
  • Effectively communicate using British Sign Language (BSL)
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience supporting individuals at home and in the community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a wheelchair and other mobility aids
  • Even-tempered personality and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • BSL knowledge is desirable but not essential
Working Hours:

This part-time role requires a commitment of 6 hours per week, split into 2 x 3 hour sessions. The ideal candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to changing shifts once they have completed their probationary period.

The hourly rate for this position is £13.09, equivalent to approximately £25,500 per annum (pro rata).
