Role Overview

Knauf Insulation is a global leader in the manufacturing of construction materials, with a 40-year heritage and a presence in 90 countries. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, and we are seeking a talented Digital Automation Engineer to join our Sustainability team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with local plant teams to ensure the optimal use of software and hardware in production lines, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Support plants in resolving operational issues with digital control systems.
  • Collaborate with the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science teams to develop and maintain vision and control system software, leveraging modern digital systems.
  • Integrate proposed automation solutions with running production lines, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Coordinate activities with plant teams, IT teams, external suppliers, and SAP/SQL/MES systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in PLC programming, SCADA programming, and control loops optimization.
  • Good knowledge of control systems, manufacturing processes, and electrical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a global environment.
  • Fluency in English, with additional European languages an asset.
