Job Role: Children's Support Worker

As a Children's Support Worker with Nurseplus, you will play a vital role in supporting children in care, putting their needs at the forefront of everything you do. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting them in various aspects of their lives, including educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.

Your experience and support will be instrumental in helping to develop and contribute towards positive outcomes, shaping the future of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assist with daily routines, including community and educational settings
  • Organise and facilitate social activities
  • Transportation
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  • Offer high levels of supervision and support
  • Work in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
  • Contribute to care plans and risk assessments

Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months post-qualification experience in a child and/or young adult setting
  • Age 21 or above
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Diploma level 3 in children's and young people, desirable level 4
  • Enhanced DBS, which can be applied for upon registration
  • Full UK Driving License
