About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic service at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment, providing occupational therapy services to patients with a range of conditions, including trauma and orthopaedic injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to service development projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Supervise and support junior staff and students to ensure their professional development and growth.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-qualification experience in a physical setting, with a strong understanding of common medical and surgical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience of leading and influencing others, including occupational therapy colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including cross-site working and flexible hours.
