Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in North Wales. As a key member of our community adult services, you will provide dysphagia and communication assessment and treatment for patients in a range of settings, including community hospitals and outpatient clinics.

The successful candidate will have experience working within multi-professional teams, supporting patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders. Leadership experience in advance care planning and eating and drinking at risk discussions is desirable.

You will be joining a small team of highly motivated and committed SLTs and SLTAs, working in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK. Our leadership team has been nationally recognised for its compassionate leadership, and we offer opportunities to extend and develop your leadership and mentoring skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, but Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main Duties

  • Provide dysphagia and communication assessment and treatment for patients in community hospitals and outpatient clinics.
  • Work within multi-professional teams to support patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Lead advance care planning and eating and drinking at risk discussions.
