Job Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work as a clinical lead for looked after children in North Wales. As a nurse specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to children in care, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including school nursing, health visiting, community paediatricians, and other LAC nurses.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the community nursing team for looked after children in Anglesey and Gwynedd, working in partnership with local authorities and social care services to ensure the best possible health and social outcomes for children in care.

About the Role

The post holder will have professional responsibility for coordinating timely completion and implementation of high-quality statutory health assessments and care plans for looked after children. You will be an advocate for LAC children and care leavers, promoting their rights and interests.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have registered nursing experience within the community and excellent record-keeping skills. A Welsh-speaking candidate is desirable, but English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. You will be able to work well with other agencies and have good time management and communication skills.
