PhD Studentship in Immune Hedgehog Signaling Dynamics
2 weeks ago
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD student to join our research group at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. The successful candidate will work on a project entitled "Immune Hedgehog Signaling Dynamics in Health and Disease" under the supervision of Dr. Maike de la Roche.
Research ObjectivesThe project aims to investigate the dynamics of Hedgehog signaling in immune cells and its role in health and disease. The student will use a combination of chromobody technology, bespoke mouse models, and proximity labeling techniques to gain a deeper understanding of this complex process.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research experiments and data analysis
- Develop and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other researchers and scientists in the field
- Present research findings at conferences and workshops
We welcome applications from recent graduates or final-year undergraduates who hold or expect to gain a First/Upper Second Class degree in a relevant subject. Applicants with relevant research experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Funding and BenefitsThis four-year studentship is funded by Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and includes full funding for University fees and a stipend of £21,000 per annum for four years.
