We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hackney, providing group support to KS1 students with special educational needs. This role involves adapting resources and activities to meet the developmental needs of a small group of children, as well as collaborating with teachers and SEN staff to plan and implement engaging interventions.
About the Position
This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as patience and a caring approach. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children with SEN, preferably in a group setting or within KS1.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work with a small group of KS1 children with SEN, adapting resources and activities to meet their developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to plan and implement engaging interventions
- Foster a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports each child's growth
