Job Description

As a Management Accountant at Tessenderlo Group, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance of our plant in Treforest. You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the financial data to ensure that our business is operating efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: You will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate and timely financial reports to the management team and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis: You will analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Financial Planning: You will assist in the development of financial plans and budgets, and ensure that they are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Financial Control: You will ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, and that financial controls are in place to prevent errors and irregularities.
  • Financial Systems: You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our financial systems, including our ERP system, to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Management Reporting: You will be responsible for building and implementing management reporting systems to provide timely and accurate information to management.
  • Cost Accounting: You will be responsible for managing and monitoring cost accounting processes to ensure that costs are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: You will assist in the development of forecasts and budgets, and ensure that they are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Internal Controls: You will ensure that internal controls are in place to prevent errors and irregularities, and that they are regularly reviewed and updated.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: You will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field of study, and be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Experience: You will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Skills: You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: You will have a strong knowledge of financial systems, including SAP, Hyperion Financial Management, and Power BI.
