About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Aspion. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for deploying a comprehensive Health and Safety strategy across our Blackpool and Blackburn sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement site-specific safety objectives and ensure full compliance with legal requirements.
  • Risk Management: Perform and validate risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Practices: Collaborate with management to implement and promote EHS practices across departments, including occupational health provisions and necessary training.
  • Compliance and Governance: Oversee all work completed on-site, ensuring contractor and visitor management aligns with safety standards and company policies.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Health and Safety management experience within a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage large teams of 200+ employees and ensure their ongoing safety and well-being
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning and risk management
  • Flexibility for occasional travel to regional sites
What We Offer
  • Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
