Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Wiltshire. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial activities related to highway maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage commercial activities related to highway maintenance works
  • Assist in managing subcontractor accounts, including assessment of applications and issuing payment notices
  • Produce and analyse cost and value reports against forecasts in collaboration with the Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
  • Participate in monthly cost value reconciliation meetings with commercial and operational teams
  • Ensure adherence to commercial guidelines and corporate protocols
  • Support in the preparation of Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs)
  • Administer Contractor/Subcontractor change control procedures
  • Respond to Client audit queries and provide commercial information
  • Price Compensation Events (CEs)
  • Undertake site visits and measurements
  • Provide ad hoc commercial support as required by the Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Causeway Project Accounting and HIAMS is advantageous
  • Strong experience working in highways maintenance, especially under NEC suite of Contracts
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
