Senior Social Worker

At Randstad Care, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare and well-being of children and families in foster care.
Foster Care Team: The successful candidate will be part of our busy Mainstream Team within the Fostering Service, working closely with carers to ensure they have the necessary skills and support to provide a stable and nurturing environment for children.
About the Role:
- Work with carers to understand their role, identify development needs, and create a personal development plan (PDP).
- Provide support to carers to enable them to evidence competence against required training standards.
- Offer regular supervision to allocated foster carers.
- Provide written case notes and reports.
- Understand and recognize changing safeguarding needs, reporting concerns to your line manager in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Social Work Degree (BA/BSc/MA/MSc) or equivalent
Social Work England registration
Experience working with families in a social work setting
Strong assessment and case management skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills
Ability to build positive relationships with families
Commitment to working in a strengths-based approach
Knowledge of family support interventions and models
Experience working with diverse communities
Understanding of relevant legislation and policies (e.g., Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children)
