Uranium Accountant Role with a Focus on Accuracy and Compliance

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Uranium Accountant to join our team at Urenco, a global leader in the production of low carbon energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and entering data into Enrichment Operations, Chemical Process Operations, and Decommissioning and Waste Uranium Accounts and Safeguards systems.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and enter data into Enrichment Operations, Chemical Process Operations, and Decommissioning and Waste Uranium Accounts and Safeguards systems.
- Assist in the planning and organisation of annual physical inventory taking on site, including operational plants and storage areas.
- Develop new and existing procedures and prepare instructions for implementation.
- Coordinate contract staff to escort inspectors during unclassified area visits.
Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in a mathematical related discipline and/or accountancy principles.
- A good understanding of plant operations and Safeguards related company processes and organisational roles.
- Highly numerate with a minimum pass mark of 90% on the Logistics Services Department numeracy test.
- Proficient in SAP, Excel, and other relevant software.

What We Offer:
- Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
- Annual leave starting at 25 days, increasing by one day for every two years of service, up to a maximum of 30 days.
