About the Role

Zayo is seeking a highly skilled FP&A Business Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain in-depth financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and reporting records.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Own the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with business partners to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Close and Reporting: Own month-end and quarter-end close and reporting responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Presentations and Communication: Develop and present financial and operational business results and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contractual Provisions: Translate contractual provisions into financial and accounting figures and forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
  • GAAP Principles: Apply advanced understanding of GAAP principles to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Capital Spend Analysis: Own the capital spend analysis, providing detailed budget performance for executives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with executives and leaders in other functional groups, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
  • Project Analysis and Support: Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests, providing timely and accurate financial analysis and support.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in FP&A/Finance and/or accounting.
  • Leadership and Development: Ability to successfully develop junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Soft Skills: Professional demeanor, self-accountability, and strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work extended hours, including some evenings and weekends, and achieve results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
