Job Title: Principal Lawyer - Place

About the Role:

The Principal Lawyer - Place will be responsible for managing a team of lawyers and providing complex legal advice to the council. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial law and experience in managing a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of lawyers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Provide complex legal advice to the council on commercial law matters
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Place department
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve the council's objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in commercial law and ensure that the team is aware of any new developments
Requirements:
  • Strong background in commercial law
  • Experience in managing a team of lawyers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
