Leeds City Council is committed to supporting families affected by drug and alcohol misuse. We are seeking an experienced Addiction Specialist to join our team as part of the Early Help Hub Drug and Alcohol Coordinator role.

About the Role

This permanent position, subject to funding, will focus on delivering interventions to children and young people whose substance and alcohol use is impacting their lives and families. The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Help Hubs, providing expertise in alcohol and substance use treatment, Think Family Work Family agenda, and safeguarding for children and adults.

We require someone with a high level of knowledge in relation to addiction treatment, preferably with experience in working with children and young people, delivering interventions that promote positive change in behaviors. A thorough understanding of drug and alcohol issues, combined with relevant qualifications, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver interventions to support children and young people who are using drugs and/or alcohol
  • Collaborate with the Early Help Hubs to improve outcomes for families affected by addiction
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local service providers to ensure comprehensive support for individuals and families
