Warehouse Service Team Lead

About the role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader to manage a team of warehouse service professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate end-to-end warehouse service routines and standards in line with the operating model.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a team of warehouse service professionals to deliver accurate end-to-end warehouse service routines and standards.
  • Support the end-to-end supply chain process by working collaboratively to resolve supplier-related matters.
  • Prioritize and deliver all seasonal, trade, and promotional events to maximize sales within stores.
  • Work in collaboration with warehouse service team and shift managers/duty managers to ensure operating procedures are the best in class.
  • Lead the team to work productively, coaching, supporting, and sharing best practices to meet or exceed targets.
  • Deliver all operational routines and make decisions that have customers' needs at the heart of what we do.
  • Operate in partnership with the distribution centre management team and be a great role model.
  • Analyze data, establish root cause, and put into place corrective improvement measures.
  • Provide a strong presence with colleagues in goods in, assembly, over the bank, FLT, and goods out.
  • Work closely with the delivery service team to ensure we deliver the transport plan together.
  • Make decisions that require management intervention as referred by warehouse service coordinators for the good of customers and Tesco.
  • Follow our business code of conduct and data protection law, always acting with integrity and due diligence.
