About the Role

As a key member of the Distribution Centre Management Team, you will be responsible for leading a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional Warehouse Service routines and standards. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate end-to-end Warehouse Service operations, collaborating with the supply chain process to resolve supplier-related matters, and prioritizing seasonal, trade, and promotional events to maximize sales within Stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team to deliver accurate Warehouse Service routines and standards in line with the operating model.
  • Support the end-to-end supply chain process by working collaboratively to resolve supplier-related matters.
  • Prioritize and deliver seasonal, trade, and promotional events to maximize sales within Stores, effectively planning resource and equipment.
  • Work in collaboration with Warehouse Service Team and Shift Managers/Duty Managers to ensure operating procedures are best-in-class and focus on providing Stores with the service they require.
  • Lead the team to work productively, coaching, supporting, and sharing best practice to meet or exceed targets and remain efficient at all times.
  • Focus the team on delivering accurate goods to Stores to improve product availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet the needs of colleagues in the team by using people routines and delivering great leadership.
  • Deliver all operational routines and make decisions that have customers' needs at the heart of what we do.
  • Operate in partnership with the Distribution Centre Management team and be a great role model.
  • Analyze data, establish root cause, and put into place corrective improvement measures.
  • Deliver exceptional standards across all operational areas of the Warehouse.
  • Provide a strong presence 'shoulder to shoulder' with colleagues in Goods In, Assembly, Over the Bank (OTB), FLT, and Goods Out, being proactive with problem-solving and coaching colleagues in the moment.
  • Work closely with the Delivery Service Team to ensure we deliver the Transport Plan together.
  • Make decisions that require Management intervention as referred by Warehouse Service Coordinators for the good of customers and Tesco.
  • Follow our Business Code of Conduct and Data Protection Law, always acting with integrity and due diligence.
