Job Title: Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Berkshire. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team of operatives and agency staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the warehouse team to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure the effective use of systems and technology to support the operation of the warehouse.
  • Oversee the replenishment, picking, packing, returns, and shipping processes.
  • Manage the daily booking of agency staff and ensure accurate reporting and payment.
  • Monitor and report on deviations from the plan to the Supervisor or Ops Manager.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in procedures and ensure the maintenance of quality, health, and safety standards.
  • Conduct annual reviews, regular performance conversations, and ad-hoc training to develop the team.
  • Provide positive leadership, encouragement, motivation, regular communication, and respect to employees.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supervising a team in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of E-commerce and distribution processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs and JDE/WMS/ADP systems.
  • Flexible approach to work, including weekends and overtime as needed.
