Senior Support Worker Opportunity
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Support Worker to join our care team based in Burton-upon-Trent. This individual will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our children, working closely with managers to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
Main Duties- Leadership and Guidance: Supervise Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers, providing coaching and support to ensure effective delivery of care services.
- Shift Coordination: Manage shifts, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Child-Centered Support: Develop strong relationships with children, providing emotional and practical support to create a safe and nurturing environment.
- Staff Development: Contribute to the training and ongoing development of staff, promoting best practices in child care and support.
- Emotional Support: Provide reassurance and support to children who may need it, addressing their concerns and anxieties.
- Creating Happy Memories: Offer our children opportunities and experiences to create happy memories.
We require candidates with prior experience working with children and young people in a similar setting. Strong communication skills, the ability to connect with children, and teamwork with colleagues and other professionals are crucial. Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, is also essential.
Salary DetailsThe annual salary for this position is approximately £28,000.
