Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with SEN needs in our primary schools across Rugby. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with children who have SEN needs, preferably with social and emotional trauma. You must be passionate about supporting students and inspiring them to reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide one-to-one support to students with SEN needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic goals.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to regular updates with parents and carers.
Requirements
  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with children who have additional needs, ideally with social and emotional trauma.
  • At least 6 months of experience within a Primary School setting.
  • An updated and clean DBS on the update service.
