Medical Practitioner for Prison Healthcare

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our team at HMP Lewes, a category B remand prison located in East Sussex. The prison provides care to approximately 692 patients aged 18-65, including an inpatient unit.
As part of this role, you will conduct ward rounds on the inpatient unit and deliver clinical sessions. This position is ideal for a GP who values flexibility and is confident in providing end-to-end care, as a significant proportion of patients have long-term conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality healthcare to a diverse group of patients
- Acting as a specialist resource to other healthcare team members, contributing to clinical governance and effectiveness activities
