Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner Powys

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated specialist practitioner to join our CAMHS crisis, assertive outreach and home treatment team in Powys. As a key member of the team, you will provide support for children, young people and their families experiencing mental health distress. You will have opportunities to work at Crisis Hwb, providing vital outcomes for children at risk of hospital admission due to mental distress.

Main Duties:
  • Provide high-quality support for children, young people and their families in a friendly and safe environment
  • Prevent hospital admissions due to mental health distress through effective assessment and intervention

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disabilities or Social Work qualification. You should also possess high-level assessment and risk assessment skills for acute mental health crises, as well as awareness of current mental health practice developments. Understanding of mental health measures and relevant legislation is also essential.
