Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on Clywedog Ward, Llandrindod Wells Community Hospital.

Job Description

This 10-bedded acute assessment unit provides care for older adults experiencing functional and/or cognitive difficulties. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the assessment of health and social needs, formulation, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care for individuals and groups of service users.

Main Duties
  • Taking responsibility for caseload management, including risk assessment and management.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary services and agencies to provide effective delivery of health and social care.
  • Supporting newly qualified members of staff and nursing students through preceptorship and mentoring.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Health Act Measure Wales, and Mental Capacity Act (2005). A flexible approach to working hours is essential.

Salary and Benefits
