About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Brecon. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing key support to clients across the area, working autonomously and managing your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges
  • Work proactively to identify and address the needs of clients, using a creative and tailored approach to support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, local agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and support
  • Provide on-call support and advice to colleagues, responding to emergencies and issues as needed
Requirements
  • Ability to engage and build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Non-judgmental mindset and understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, and trauma
  • Forward-thinking and resilient attitude, with ability to overcome barriers and setbacks
  • Strong character and ability to remain calm and collected in challenging situations
  • Experience in support work or housing, with knowledge of housing options, law, and benefits
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car

Location: Brecon

Hours: 35 hours per week, with on-call rota
