Greenbridge Recruitment is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant / Advisor with a strong background in ECoW work for a Senior or Principal role in the Edinburgh area.

About the Job:

You will be joining a renowned environmental consultancy providing support for construction projects throughout Scotland. Your responsibilities will include assessing, managing, and monitoring ecological and environmental constraints such as nesting birds, confirmed bat roosts, breeding badger setts, waste management, COSHH management, and water environment management.

You will deliver concise environmental advice to clients to manage environmental compliance during construction, build strong working relationships with on-site personnel to drive environmental standards, and enjoy a hybrid and flexible work policy.

This position involves a mix of site-based, office-based, and home-working. You will also have the benefits of working for an employee-owned trust, giving you a stake in the direction of the business and its profits.

**Salary & Benefits:**

The estimated salary for this role is between £32,000 and £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The benefits package includes annual salary reviews, a profit-share bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays) with options to buy or sell extra holiday, work from home and field wear allowances, a pension scheme invested in an ethical fund, life insurance at four times your annual salary, income protection insurance, health and self-care benefits, an Employee Assistance Programme, season ticket loans, Cyclescheme, and an annual paid volunteer day.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you should have 2+ years ECoW experience (ideally both Ecological with bats, water vole, and nesting birds, and Environmental with waste, COSHH, surface water management, and pollution prevention). Experience of linear construction projects, solid project and budget management experience would also be highly desirable.

Above all, we are looking for an excellent problem solver with a passion for the environment, committed to high-quality science and advancing environmental excellence. A driver's license and CSCS card are essential.
