We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitting Apprentice to join our team at BAE Systems (New) in Barrow.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a £Competitive salary (£25,000 - £30,000 per annum) and a range of employee benefits including free higher education, access to the Company pension, and share saving scheme.

As a Mechanical Fitting Apprentice, you will play a vital role in maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of plant systems, components, and assets. You'll rotate through different teams, each focused on specific aspects of plant maintenance and repair, working with a wide range of mechanical and specialist equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include regular maintenance tasks such as servicing and maintaining compressors, workshop machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, installing and repairing components like bearings, seals, and drive keys, and maintaining CNC machine tools used in both heavy and light engineering.

You'll be trained to follow Health & Safety best practices, ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards.
