DevOps Leader for Global Trading Platforms

Broadridge seeks a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to drive the development of our deployment platform, which underpins our Global Trading Platform that delivers trading capabilities worldwide.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience deploying containerized applications with Docker Swarm or Kubernetes and engineering skills to develop tools for managing, monitoring, and operating global-scale systems.

You are an experienced engineer who has delivered complex projects, likely starting in a hands-on coding role. You take pride in your work, taking ownership and accountability for changes, and collaborate with others to ensure solution delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our Global Deployment Platform
  • Build tools and technologies for deployment, monitoring, and operation of trading software
  • Work with SRE teams to identify operational improvements and automate delivery, management, and monitoring of trading systems
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to automate delivery of new systems hosting customer-facing and internal applications
  • Support development and QA teams in different regions to build, test, and deploy pipelines
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Write high-quality documentation for technology solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM subject (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles
  • Experience deploying containerized platforms using Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines in Jenkins, Circle CI, Team City, Bamboo
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or similar language
  • Familiarity with source control systems (git, perforce)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of financial markets and/or financial technologies
  • Background as a backend software engineer with 3+ years' experience in Java or C++
  • Experience working with Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus/Grafana/Data Dog/PagerDuty)
  • Experience with React, Vue, or other web technologies
  • Leadership and organizational skills desirable
