Academy Facilities Manager

We are seeking an experienced facilities professional to join our team at Kingston Grammar School. As an Academy Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and security of our school site.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-Day Maintenance: You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our school buildings, grounds, and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe for our students and staff.
- Working with Contractors: You will work with external contractors for both emergency and routine matters, including maintenance and repairs.
- Event Coordination: You will coordinate school and external events, ensuring that our facilities are prepared and secure for these events.
- Risk Assessments: You will conduct risk assessments and maintain inspection records of all caretaking tasks, ensuring that our school site is a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
We offer a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, on a rotating shift pattern. You will receive 25 days' holiday (rising to 27 days after 5 years' service) and the opportunity to work significant overtime hours. Free school lunches are available during term time.
We offer a competitive salary of circa £27,000 depending on experience, as well as significant overtime opportunities. Prior to interview, an online search will be conducted to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role.
