Mental Health Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join our team at a Specialist school in Headington. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties and ASD, helping them to reach their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support to students with learning difficulties and ASD
- Assist students with day-to-day duties, such as setting up for lessons and clearing up afterwards
- Support the class teacher in ensuring the classroom runs smoothly
- Help students to become independent learners and encourage their involvement in the classroom
- Work collaboratively with the therapy team to support students' emotional and social development
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, a passion for making a difference, and experience working with children who struggle with learning difficulties. A background in psychology, education, or a related field is desirable. If you are a psychology graduate looking to expand your experience working with children, or an aspiring educational psychologist or ASD Specialist, we encourage you to apply.
