Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant for SEND Schools

Job Description:

We are seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in SEND schools across Kent. As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or in class settings, providing support for pupils with SEMH, SEN, and ASD needs. You will work closely with the school's SENCO and senior management team, as well as outside agencies, to provide a comprehensive support package for pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1 to 1 support for pupils with SEMH, SEN, and ASD needs
  • Work with pupils in class settings to provide additional support
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and senior management team to develop and implement support plans
  • Work with outside agencies to provide a comprehensive support package for pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEN, and ASD needs
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide 1 to 1 support
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
