About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our client school in Barnet. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs and will provide inclusive and personalised assistance within a mainstream primary school setting.



Key Responsibilities

  • Work with individual students or small groups to provide tailored support and assistance with academic and social development
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans
  • Create and maintain a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of students with SEND
  • Foster positive relationships with students, offering patience, empathy, and understanding in all interactions
  • Utilise a range of strategies to facilitate learning and engage students with different learning styles and abilities
  • Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and participating in review meetings


About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:




  • Prior experience in a SEND support role or a strong interest in working with students with diverse learning needs
  • A First Class degree from a Top University
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field is desirable
  • Knowledge of SEND best practices and strategies for supporting students with additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, staff, and parents
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEND
