Perinatal Mental Health Lead

We are seeking an experienced Perinatal Mental Health Lead to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and first-line management for our Perinatal Mental Health Team.
About the RoleThe postholder will work closely with senior clinicians to deliver high-quality services to our patients. The role involves assisting the team leader with first-line management, supporting staff development, and driving improvements in clinical practice and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- To assist the team leader with first-line management for a community-based perinatal mental health team in designated geographical localities within Lancashire Care Foundation Trust and South Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust.
- To support the team leader in ensuring that staff in the team have opportunities for continuing professional development, in order to provide best practice and meet the requirements of registering bodies, and to drive improvements in standards of clinical practice and patient care in line with the NHS modernisation and Public Health agendas.
- To work with the Team Leader and senior clinicians to actively lead in the delivery of the clinical governance, quality improvement and performance management agenda within an identified locality team.
- Must hold a Mental Health professional qualification (RMN).
- Completion of, or commitment to working towards, Management or Leadership training.
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
