Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Deputy Team Leader position in our Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (SPCMHT). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership and first-line management in designated geographical localities. The postholder will support the Team Leader in ensuring high-quality patient care, delivering a sustainable and resilient solution for women suffering from mental illness in the perinatal period.

The successful candidate will have a Mental Health professional qualification (RMN) and documented evidence of continuing professional development. Expert knowledge on mental health issues and current best practice in Adult Mental Health are essential. We are committed to flexible working arrangements, including term-time, part-time, compressed hours, flexi-time, and career breaks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To assist the Team Leader with first-line management for a community-based perinatal mental health team.
  • To support staff in the team with opportunities for continuing professional development, driving improvements in standards of clinical practice and patient care.
  • To work with the Team Leader and senior clinicians to lead in the delivery of clinical governance, quality improvement, and performance management within an identified locality team.
