Senior Residential Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead by example and support the management team to run the shift.
  • To mentor and support newer staff members.
  • To encourage young people to take responsibility for their own lives.
  • To maintain a safe environment for young people.
  • To ensure the safety of students and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred methods of communication.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in young people's lives.

Requirements: NVQ or QCF Level 3 / Level 4 in Children and Young People is essential. 2 years of experience in a residential children's home environment is essential. A full driving license is essential as you may be required to transport young people from time to time.
