Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Children's Residential Support Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and be part of a dynamic team that provides a safe and supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential setting. Your primary focus will be on promoting their independence, well-being, and safety, while also maintaining a homely and friendly culture within the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and needs.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of the young people.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Support young people in managing challenging behaviors, while prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth running of the residential setting and provide a high-quality service to the young people.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting, is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to commute to Staffordshire is required.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary, as you will be required to transport young people on occasion.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
