We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Children's Residential Support Worker in the Telford area.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a strong commitment to supporting young people in a residential setting. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and independence of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Encourage and support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture within the residential setting.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support and promote independence and well-being for our residents.
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure the safety of our residents.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare or social care settings is also desirable.
  • A full driver's license is required for transporting young people.
  • You must be over 21 years old.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
  • Ability to commute to Telford is essential.
