Children's Care Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Care Worker to join our team at a 5-bedded Children's Residential Service in Telford. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people aged 8-18 who have experienced early childhood traumas.

As a Children's Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the young people in our care, enabling them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work closely with the team to create a homely and friendly culture, promoting the young people's independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the young people.
  • Support young people with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, and other professionals.
Requirements:
  • A full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
  • Experience in a children's residential setting or with challenging behaviours is an advantage.
  • Candidates with experience in sports coaching, youth work, or similar fields are encouraged to apply.
