About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Locum Consultant in Respiratory Care, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic and acute respiratory diseases.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of respiratory services, including the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans for patients with complex respiratory conditions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals in the respiratory department.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including the supervision of medical students and junior doctors.
Person Specification
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), CESR or European Community Rights.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • CCST in General Medicine and Respiratory (or within 6 months of receipt at date of interview) or inclusion on the Specialist Register.
  • Extensive experience in the management and respiratory patients.
  • Experience in Diagnostic bronchoscopy.
