Main Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our Berkshire CAMHS Anxiety Disorders Treatment Team (ADTT). As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based treatments for children and young people suffering from anxiety disorders, OCD, and Tic Disorders.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with children, young people, and their families to support recovery and improve quality of life.
  • Providing support to young people and families waiting for treatment to start, including risk support.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives to ensure the delivery of integrated and holistic client care.
  • Actively engaging in quality improvement and service development of CAMHS services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized mental health qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in evidence-based ways in child mental health settings.
  • Experience of dealing with highly distressing or emotional circumstances.
  • Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency environment.
  • Well-developed skills in communication, interpersonal skills, and IT skills.
