Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at Securitas Security Services. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility, working 42 hours per week on a convenient 4 on, 4 off day shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities- Prevent and deter unauthorized access to the site by monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate.
- Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions, providing traffic control and applying parking restrictions as required.
- Manage keys, perform locking and unlocking duties, and carry out routine tests of security equipment as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Issue visitor/contractor passes, deal with lost property, and maintain all logbooks and records in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the safeguarding of the premises and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Operate radios, pagers, clocking equipment, and any other physical security equipment used on site and carry out initial investigations and report on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles both verbally and in writing.
- SIA Licence - Preferably Door Supervisor
- CCTV Licence - Preferred but not essential
- Access to vehicle/good transport links
- RTW and 5yr checkable history
- Experience in retail, events, or roles that involve interaction with the public
- Confident and vigilant
