About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trading Lead to join our dynamic team at The Very Group. As a key member of our Fashion, Sports & Home Trade Marketing team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering category trading plans to drive growth and engagement across our FSH business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver category trading plans to drive growth and engagement across FSH
  • Analyse online trading data to review and recommend actions to drive growth across key digital metrics (traffic, click-through, conversion)
  • Improve onsite conversion of links, product, and campaigns
  • Lead in key weekly and monthly trading meetings to ensure the customer onsite journey is representative of category plans and competitor activity
  • Collate and manage the category trading calendar with the support of the Trading Manager, ensuring priorities are aligned to wider business strategy and delivery of key initiatives
  • Deputise for Trade Manager in department store weekly meetings to ensure FSH share of voice on site is represented
  • Develop a strong understanding of key competitors in the FSH market, making suggestions to adapt and change plans in season
  • Analyse sales, budgets, and customer changing needs, suggesting plan adjustments accordingly
  • Support in building and delivering category plans that align to TVG strategy, managing the end-to-end process
  • Lead a team of marketing executives to deliver all plans on time to industry-leading standards

About You

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Trading Lead to join our fast-paced team. You will have a good balance of being a strong strategic thinker while being passionate about creative innovation; not afraid to challenge the status quo and think outside the box. Your ability to analyse data and spot opportunities will be crucial in delivering category trading plans.

You will have a proven track record of successfully building and maintaining strong working relationships with external strategic brand partners. You will have experience leading a team in a high-energy area.
