The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team at our Elland site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of vehicles on site, planning workflow, and supporting the workshop.
Key Responsibilities- Operate shunters and manage vehicle movement across the site
- Plan and organise workflow to support the workshop
- Assist with loading/unloading vehicles for transport
- Capture photos of shunters pre and post-hire
- Support general building maintenance and health & safety tasks
- Collaborate across departments and contribute to projects
- Operate a forklift (training available if needed)
- A valid driving licence (HGV licence is a bonus)
- Forklift licence (or willingness to train)
- Strong initiative and effective time management skills
- Positive communication and customer service mindset
- Ability to adapt, prioritise, and plan effectively
