Your purpose will be:
To exceed guest expectations daily in the Flower Shop, ensuring flowers and displays meet hotel standards.
You will be accountable for:
- To maintain the flower shop's 5-star luxury standards.
- To provide professional service for all guest flower requests.
- To take ownership of guest requests to completion.
- To prepare flowers daily for the flower shop.
- To prioritize guest order requests and deliver to guest rooms.
- To prepare flower bouquets and ensure display stands meet standards daily.
- To assist with guest orders as a direct contact, providing polite and helpful service.
- To ensure guests are charged through the POS system.
- To maintain the flower shop's highest standard, ensuring quality is maintained at all times.
- To be passionate, creative, and encourage upsell and revenue opportunities.
- To maintain stock levels, organization, and monitoring.
- To assist the Savoy Flowers Team with ad-hoc duties, especially at peak times.
- To work in a clean and tidy manner, clearing away unnecessary items.
- To keep floors clean and dry to avoid slips or falls.
- To control flower waste as much as possible.
- To maintain plants and clean retail areas in the shop.
- To maintain amicable and cooperative working relations with other departments.
- To comply with Food Hygiene and Safety legislation, using safe working practices.
- To act in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations and follow procedures when necessary.
- To carry out additional tasks as instructed by the leadership team.
- To adhere to all Savoy policies and procedures.
- To be an active colleague in the Savoy team's mission to Turn Moments into Memories for guests.
Qualifications:
Requirements for this role:
- 13 years of experience in Luxury London Retail within the Hospitality Industry.
- Confident florist with all elements of Floristry, including wedding wiring techniques.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality, with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
- Proven organizational skills, working well independently and meeting deadlines with quality results.
- Applicable job-related skills, as per Accountable Duties.
- Hours of operation: 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, with a 40-hour week rota.
