Medical Device Lead

Nuffield Health Brentwood FWC is seeking a Medical Device Lead to join our team. As a Medical Device Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of medical device coordination and troubleshooting across the entire hospital site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the coordination of medical devices for the entire hospital site, ensuring seamless operations and resolving equipment issues promptly.
  • Liaise with various company representatives and our 3rd party medical device contractor, Avensys, to obtain quotes for new equipment and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Chair monthly and quarterly medical device meetings, collaborating with head office and networking with other MDLs at Nuffield sites, as well as with department representatives on-site regarding equipment issues and compliance.
  • Utilize IT skills to navigate MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases for equipment on our fixed asset register, Equipment Compliance, Staff competency compliance, and weekly updates of the National Joint register, Breast register, and Spinal register.
  • Provide training and validation for staff on medical device usage and maintenance, ensuring compliance with annual requirements.
  • Support the Theatre department and assist patients to and from theatre as needed.
